Jim is the owner and operations manager, and has been in professional wood working careers for 30+ years.
Our counter and island tops can be made from most woods. We specialize in and recommend Eastern Hard Rock wood. It is one of the most popular and most durable woods for Butcher Block and wide plank tops. It is a hard and clear grain wood.

Taken from nature, our wood is eco-friendly and will bring an earthy rustic atmosphere and warm design element to your home.

Our Styles of Counter Tops and Islands
Butcher Block
Edge Grain construction is the one most widely used for counter tops and islands. It is produced by placing long boards on the edge joining them with glue so their long narrow edges form the surface area and create a beautiful narrow grain arrangement. The Butcher Block product is constructed to your desired length, width and thickness. Ideal for residential use but also suitable for commercial kitchens, bars and dining rooms. All materials and adhesives are food safe, as well as this product is durable and damage resistant.

Wide Plank
For a beautiful sheer face-grain appearance. It is created by adhering boards laid flat and reinforced on the underside of the counter. Strong and durable. These countertops are generally one and a half inches thick and constructed to your required length and width. A less costly but still a unique natural wood and island top.

Caring for Butcher Block and Wide Plank Maple Counters
Our countertops are beautiful, durable and low maintenance. Unless otherwise requested, we hand finish and buff our countertops with food safe Watco Brand oil and finish. We recommend applying a simple and easy layer of mineral oil or Watco Brand Butcher Block Oil and Conditioner about every six to nine months.
